Carrie Farmer

Canton - Carrie Nell Pace Farmer, age 81, of Pigeon Ford Road, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Brian Center of Mooresville, NC. A native of Canton, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Thomas and Lonnie F. Pace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Red" Farmer; four sisters, and five brothers. Carrie's hobbies throughout life included: playing guitar, piano, singing in church and on the radio with her sisters, crocheting, and at the age of 74, learned to use the computer and loved it. Surviving are one daughter, Peggy S. Hannah of Charlotte; one son, Jimmy W. Simpson and his wife, Shirley, of Canton; one sister, Della Watson and her husband, Howard, of Canton; four grandchildren, Tamera H. Stern and her husband, Goerge, James, Michael and Ronald Simpson; and four great-grandchildren, Chase and Caiden Stern, and Elizabeth and Kimberly Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Cayton and Reverend Chris Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
