Carrie Thomason

Asheville - Carrie Williams Thomason, age 77, of 76 Wright Road died Saturday, November 02, 2002 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was a native of Haywood County and had lived there most of her life. She was the daughter of the late James and Ruth Gaddy Williams and Elizabeth Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thomason who died in 1978.

She retired as assistant manager of Gas & Groceries Convenience Store in Waynesville.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Walker of Johnson City, TN, Sandra Smith of Waynesville and Linda Sanders of Asheville; a brother, Vaughn Williams of Canton as well as three grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th at Burnette Cove Baptist Church with the Reverend Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
