CARROLL N. JAMES

Waynesville-Carroll N. James, age 84, of Riverview Drive, died Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Harris Regional Hospital.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Lydia McElroy James. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ray James, in 1993; two sisters, Doris McLean, and Mary Sanford. He was a logger and farmer.

He is survived by three sisters, Bobbie Hall, Phyllis Ammons, and Sarah Frances Haynes, all of Waynesville; a brother, Jack James, of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Mathis, David Williams, Teddy Haynes, Scott Ledford, David Hinton, and Jack Walker.
