Carroll Rhodarmer

Carroll Wiley Rhodarmer, age 77, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Aldie and Fannie Justice Rhodarmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chris Rhodarmer, who died in 1980; and four brothers, Troy, Harold, David, and Ricky Rhodarmer. He retired from Square D after 18 years of service and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and Newfound Death Benefit. Carroll enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lee West Rhodarmer; two daughters, Sherry Cordell of Black Mountain and Anita Rhodarmer of Leicester; four sisters, Nancy Broyles, of Canton, Evelyn Cornwell of Hendersonville, Elaine Edwards and Glenna Worley both of Canton; five brothers, Bruce Rhodarmer of Jacksonville, FL, Charles Rhodarmer, of Orangeburg, SC, Donnie Rhodarmer of Leicester, Ronnie Rhodarmer of Candler, and Calvin Rhodarmer of Leicester; and his dog, "Bubba". Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the wonderful care given by the staff of Cancer Care of Western North Carolina.
