Catherine Gibson

Canton-Catherine Elizabeth Gibson-72 of Mears Ave. died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Rufus and Lizzie Gibson Clontz.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Kay Sadler of Dinwiddie, Va, Martha Murray and Brenda Childers Both of Canton, three sons, Robert, Ronnie and Alvin Gibson all of Canton, one brother, Paul Clontz of Asheville, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Jay Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Clark Cemetery in the Thickety Community. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
