"Loving Mother"

Hot Springs, Catherine Justice Ledford, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Smoky Mountain Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Thelma Lindsey Justice and was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Foye Ledford, who died in 2017; a son, Eddie Ledford; and a baby brother, Franklin Justice. Catherine was the former manager of Trust General Store and was of Baptist faith.

Catherine is survived by a daughter, Peggy Sawyers and her husband, Clyde, of Hot Springs; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Ledford, of Marshall; two sisters, Linda Rathbone (Henry) of Waynesville and Polly Ledford (RL) of Spring Creek; two brothers, Thomas Justice of Waynesville and Joe Justice (Virginia) of Spring Creek; four grandchildren, Kelly Harvey (James), Heath Sawyers (Audrey), Derrick Ledford (Stephanie) and Matthew Ledford (Gina); and eight great-grandchildren; Kolby, Mckenna, Kaysie, Sawyer, Spencer, Brayden, Cooper and Easton; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carroll and Clara Askew.

"How Grateful I Would Be To Have Just One More Day"

If I could have just one more day and wishes did come true,
I'd spend every moment side by side with you.
Recalling all the years we shared and memories we made,
how grateful I would be to have just one more day.
Where the tears I've shed are not in vain and only fall in bliss,
so many things I'd let you know about the days you've missed.
I wouldn't have to make pretend you never went away,
how grateful I would be to have just one more day.
When that day came to a close and the sun began to set,
a million times I'd let you know I never will forget.
The heart of gold you left behind when you entered Heaven's gate,
how grateful I would be to have just one more day.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend Joseph Huntsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Woody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home and at other times, 14885 Hwy 209, Hot Springs.
