Cecil Dye

Maggie Valley, Cecil Ray Dye, age 70, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation.

A native of Richland County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William and Winifred Boone Dye, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Dye. Cecil was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lexington, South Carolina and retired as a diesel mechanic with Lexington County Maintenance Department. He enjoyed music, cooking out and was a member of the Gamecocks Club and enjoyed all types of sports.

Cecil is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pauline Kelly Dye; three sons, Curtis Haynes Dye, Mark Haynes Dye, and his fiancée, Michele and Willard Ray Dye, and his wife, Wendy; a sister, Frieda Lynne Shull; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Private services will be held at a later date.
