Cecil May

Waynesville, Cecil Franklin May, age 63, of Waynesville died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was born and raised in Henderson County and had resided in Haywood County for approximately 30 years and was the son of the late Henry and Gladys Fletcher May. Cecil was a very devoted worker and enjoyed taking long walks. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his previous wife, Ella Mae Conner of Waynesville, two sons, Cecil May, Jr. and his wife, Anna of Waynesville and Billy May of Tennessee; a sister, Mary Link of North Carolina and a brother, Carl May of Hendersonville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
