Cecil Willard “Ted” Williams, Jr.

Waynesville, Cecil W. “Ted” Williams, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Williams was the son of the late Cecil W. Williams and Dorothy Hembree Cobb.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Williams, who passed away in 2012.  To his friends on the CB radio waves, Ted was known as Sleepy Head.  A CB enthusiast, he was also fascinated with the intricacies of computers.  Ted loved to explore the inner workings of pc’s and occasionally relax to the sounds of Credence Clearwater Revival.  He was a doting husband, father and grandfather as well as a 20 + year dedicated employee of Asheville Chevrolet.

Ted is survived by his only daughter, Kim Williams, of Ronceverte, West Virginia and one grandson, Myles Ayres.  He also has two sweet cats, Cooper and Tucker and many great friends from his time with Asheville Chevrolet.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Greenhill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
