Clyde-Ceri DiStasio, 52 of Honeysuckle Street died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at her home. A native of Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Florence Heitala Austin. She was an ordained minister, serving the Victory House Ministries as secretary and she operated Cornerstone Thrift store, helping the needy.
Surviving are, her husband, Pastor Jim DiStasio. Three daughters, Lisa McWhirter of Arkansas, Lori DiStatio of Asheville and Lacy McWhirter of Hendersonville. A son, James McWhirter of Hendersonville. A sister, Marlene Coon of Hancock, MI. A brother, John Austin of Michigan, and one grandson.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21st in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Dr. Frank Harvey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Victory House Praise and Worship Center at 3264 Broad Street in Clyde following the service.
