Clyde – Charles Fredrick Bonham, 86, died peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Haywood Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Pressley Bonham. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Bonham.
Charles retired from Champion International in 1998 as a machine operator. He was a loving husband and father and a master wood worker. Their home is full of beautiful furniture he made. Charles was a United States Air Force veteran where he served honorably for four years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roberta King Bonham; two daughters, Sharon Souers (Phil) of Debary, Florida and Cindy Noland of Midland, Georgia; two loving granddaughters, Taylor and Sierra Noland; two sisters, Judy Hipps (John) and Jan Davis (Kevin) all of Canton; three brothers, Doug Bonham (Linda) of St. Joseph, Michigan, Mike Bonham (Jean) of Walhalla, South Carolina and David Bonham of Canton; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Bonham, of Candler.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
