Charles Brown

"1945 – 2014" Canton – Charles "Charlie" William Brown, age 68, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Jack and Jannie Putnam Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Noble and David Lee Brown; and one grandson, Travis Brown. In 2009, Charlie retired from CEMEX Concrete Company in Asheville. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Margaret Erwin Brown; three daughters, Miranda Brown and Kristy Wyatt, both of Waynesville, and LeAnn James of Candler; four sons, Charles Brown, Jr. of Canton, Jesse Brown of Waynesville, Edwin Brown of Clyde, and Jeremy Wyatt of Anderson, South Carolina; one brother, Billy Ray Brown of Clover, South Carolina; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James A. Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
