Charles Conard

Clyde- Charles Lee Conard age 65 of 56 Fire Fly Place died Thursday. March 3, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of Ruby Ford Conard and the late James Howard Conard. Mr. Conard was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Stevenson and a brother, Larry Conard. He was a self-employed carpenter, a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church, a member of Walkfar Coon Hunters of Haywood County and a life long Blue Grass musician. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years Jane Ann Henderson Conard; three sons, Jeff and his wife Billie Conard, Kim D. Conard, and Brian and his wife, Laura Murray Conard all of Canton; one sister, Gerri Cook of Canton; three brothers, Bobby Joe Conard of Waynesville, Howard Conard of Asheboro and Jim Conard of Thomasville and four grandchildren; Jarrod, Austin, Eli and Jenna. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Center Pigeon Baptist Church with the Reverend Alan Blanton, Reverend R.G. Garland and Reverend Claude Conard officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Thickety Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton. The family requests that memorials be made to Center Pigeon Baptist Church, 224 Center Pigeon Road, Canton, NC 28716.
