Charles Crago

Waynesville, Charles Lee "Chuck" Crago, age 85, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at The Homestead. A native of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles Dewey and Mary Elizabeth Butlin Crago. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Crago, who died in 2013; a son, Michael Crago; and one brother, Benjamin Crago. After 20 years of service, Chuck retired from the US Air Force, having received the Bronze Star while serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. Chuck enjoyed gardening and working in his yard and also enjoyed relaxing while listening to gospel music. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church for 20 years and was recently honored as a Trustee Emeritus. Chuck was also a faithful servant to the needy and volunteered at Haywood Christian Ministries Food Pantry for more than ten years. Chuck is survived by a daughter, Beth Williams and her husband, Don, of Clyde; a son, David Crago and his wife, Cheryl, of Enon, Ohio; one sister, Ann Carl of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Marc and Michael Crago. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Faith United Methodist Church with a covered dish fellowship meal following.
