Charles Gaddis

April 20, 1932 — October 29, 2003

Waynesville-Charles Edward ''Teeny'' Gaddis, age 71, of 149 Camp Branch Road, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, he was the son of J. Allen and Bertha Wyatt Gaddis. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Sheehan Gaddis, who died in 2001. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Lea Industry in 1985 after 19 years employment.

He is survived by a son, Michael, and his wife, Audrey, of Waynesville; two sisters, Martha Harrell and Sue Broom of Lake Junaluska; two brothers, Billy Wayne Gaddis, of Lake Junaluska and Joseph Samuel Gaddis of Canton; and a special friend, Hilda Moody.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2003 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Robert Stiles and Reverend Jason Ledford officiating. Burial will follow at Fulbright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2003, and at other times, the family will be at the home of Billy Wayne Gaddis, 158 Fulbright Road, in the Rogers Cove Community.
