Charles Hyson

Waynesville, Charles Ralph Hyson, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Camden, New Jersey, he was the son of Yvonne Heaxt and the late Russel P. Hyson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Hyson, one brother, Russel P. Hyson, Jr; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Heaxt; and a paternal great-grandmother who was a full-blooded Piaute Indian. Charles was a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Bryson and Angela Hyson, of Calhoun, Georgia; a stepson, Timothy Tozer, of Fayetteville, West Virginia; two sisters, Dani Lawson of Pendleton, South Carolina and Deborah Farmer of Anderson, South Carolina; a brother, Michael Hyson of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Hannah, Xander, Alexsis, and Chloe; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-spirit, Barry Heffner, of Waynesville. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim McConnell officiating.
