Charles Mccall

Waynesville-Charles Bryant McCall, age 82, of 1004 Brown Avenue, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late George and Eller McCall. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was division manager of the Plastic Division of Dayco Corporation in Waynesville for 37 years before his retirement in 1985. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty McCall; one daughter, Kitty Hampton, of Palm Harbor, FL; one grandson, Kelly Hampton, of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter, Amber Hampton, of Palm Harbor, FL; and three brothers, Eugene, Robert, and Ted McCall, all of Waynesville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. W. Lyn Sorrells, Reverend Nick Nicholson, and Reverend Dottie Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. on Friday prior to the service and at other times, at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Gregg Sutton, Max Rogers, Clyde Green, Jerry McCall, Tim McCracken, Johnny Whitman, and Woody Caldwell.
