Charles Patterson

Waynesville, Charles Benjamin "Ben" Patterson, age 26, of Liberty Way, died on Friday, July 4, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Roger and Donna Arrington Patterson and was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Buck and Lois Patterson. Ben was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, and hiking the mountains of North Carolina. Ben was a loving caring person and will be missed by all who knew him. He attended Rocky Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Albert "Red" and Estella Whitner Arrington; three sisters, Heidi Davis and her husband, Jason, of Clyde, Heather Patterson of Canton, and Julie Patterson of Waynesville; one brother, Zac Patterson, of Waynesville; and one nephew, Jacob Davis. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Creasman and Reverend Harry Worley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
