Charles Sellars

"1936 – 2017" Clyde – Charles Edward Sellars, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Bruce and Sarah Smathers Sellars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Sellars; and a granddaughter, Michaela. Charles was a United States Air Force veteran. He also retired from Champion with 39 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise Payne Sellars; two sons, Mitchell "Mitch" and wife, Samantha, of Clyde and Charles Sellars and wife, Pam, of Ellaville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Rich, Dustin and fiancé, Mary Escaravage, Michael and Madison Sellars; and two great-grandchildren, Kaley and Kaiden Rich. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 358, Waynesville, NC 28786 or to one's favorite charity.
