Charles Stevens

Charles Paul Stevens, 81, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Bonnie Ingle Stevens. Paul worked for Asheville City Schools for over 30 years as well as owning his plumbing service. He was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church, enjoyed car racing and was a very generous person.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Trantham.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Faulkner Stevens; son, Chuck Stevens; sister, Becky Melson; dog, Sweet Pea, and many friends.
The Family will receive friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday, May 27th in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday with Rev. Stan Welch officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday at Forest lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Asheville Baptist Church Building Fund, 926 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
