Charles "Greg" Boyd

Maggie Valley, Charles "Greg" Gregory Boyd, age 63, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Greg was the son of Shirley Berry Lewis and the late Robert "Bobby" Boyd.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Bonnie Berry;  paternal grandparents, Robert and Georgia Boyd; and his aunt, Katie Boyd.  Greg proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired from Maggie Valley Water Department and previously worked with Dayco Corporation.  Greg was an avid bear hunter, enjoyed horseback riding and camping.

In addition to his mother, Shirley and stepfather, Jack Lewis; he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann Boyd; daughter, Leslie Boyd, and her fiancé, Alan Arrington; son, Seth Boyd, and his wife Jessie; all of Waynesville; two brothers, Lance Lewis, and his wife, Melanie, of Maggie Valley and Kris Boyd, of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Georgia Ann Boyd, Cash Lewis Boyd, Avery and Jake Arrington; two nieces, Hayley Ramsey and Matilin Boyd.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Wells Events & Reception Center.

The care of Mr. Boyd has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
