Charlie Lowe

Charles Nathan Lowe, age 76, of the Bethel Community passed away on Monday September 1, 2014 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Gary Franklin and Bertha Dickerson Lowe. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Lowe Davis; eight brothers and sisters. He retired from Oakwood Mobile Homes and was a member of Biltmore Holiness Temple. Charlie will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, having never met a stranger and his love for his savior, Jesus. Above all, Charlie was a family man who always placed them first and loved them dearly. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Oma Faye Lowe; two daughters, Patricia Clark and her husband, Reverend Jackie Clark of Candler and Sheila McCarson and her husband, David of Bethel; a son, Eddie Lowe and his wife, Sherry, of Bethel; a sister, Kathleen Coxie and her husband, Charles, of Asheville; seven grandchildren; Samantha Godfrey, Susan Freck, Jackie Bradley, Crystal Gaffey, Andy Cowan, Jessica Boone, and Shelley Trantham; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Coxie and Reverend Jack Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. prior to the service.
