Charlie Parton, Jr.

Waynesville, NC, Charlie Elmer Parton, Jr., age 67, formerly of Waynesville, NC passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his niece's residence in Seneca, SC. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Charlie Elmer and Clara Marie Sisk Parton. Elmer was also preceded in death be a great-great nephew, Aaron Smith, great-nephew, Paul Eugene Smith and a sister, Judith Clontz. Elmer will be remembered for his friendly, outgoing nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors relaxing in his rocking chair and also liked wrestling. He is survived by nieces, Paula Warren and her husband Gresley of Waynesville, NC; Christy Keith and her husband Tim of Seneca, SC; great-nieces, Cassandra Bradley of Waynesville; nephews, Lonnie Johnson and his wife Ann of Seneca, SC; Charles Phillips of Waynesville, NC; 3 great-nephews, Eric Johnson and his wife Kreshana of Canton, NC; Adam Clontz and his wife Gena and Jonathan Clontz, all of Seneca, SC; 4 great-great nieces and one great-great nephew. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
