Cherry Caudle

Waynesville-Cherry Jones Caudle, age 80, of 769 Country Club Drive, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Mission St. Joseph Health Care System. A native of Forsythe County, she was the daughter of the late Webb A. and Treva Crowder Jones and was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. Caudle, who died in 1991. She was employed by Haywood County Department of Social Services as a Food Stamp Supervisor. Cherry was a member of the Waynesville Order of Eastern Star and a volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem Program. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was an Asbury Sunday-School Class member. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, D.J. "Tony" Caudle and one brother, W.A. Jones, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Winston-Salem. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. W. Lyn Sorrells and Reverend Dr. Robert Prince officiating. Interment will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
