Cheryl Whaley

Cheryl Morris Whaley, 63, of Candler passed away on Tuesday morning, June 22, 2021.  She was a daughter of the late Walter Samuel Morris, Jr. and Martha Mae Aldridge.

Cheryl lived most of her life in Goldsboro, NC before moving to Candler in 2004.  Before retiring, she worked for Kemp Furniture Manufacturing in Goldsboro.  Cheryl loved to crochet.  She will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin C. Whaley and Tony E. Whaley, Jr., and his wife, Vicki, of Candler; sisters, Terrie Roche, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Asheville, Brenda Halso, and her husband, Christopher, of Chinquapin, NC and Barbara McClure of Goldsboro, NC; brothers, David Morris and Randy Morris, both of Goldsboro, and Billy Morris, and his wife, Linda, of Clayton, NC; two granddaughters, Emily Oliva Whaley and Maggie Walker; and several nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind some special friends, Terry & Barbara Miller of Candler and her much loved cats, Sassy and Pinkie.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

The care of Ms. Whaley has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
