Christie Marcus

Waynesville, Christie Cooke Marcus, age 38, of Dewey Ross Road, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Gary and Sheila Pharr Cooke. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph Pharr and paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Kathryn Pressley. Christie was an insurance agent and enjoyed being on the go. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Scott Marcus; maternal grandmother, Mildred Pharr, of Bethel; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Delores Marcus; one stepson, Alex Marcus, of Washington, DC; and one brother, Jonathan Cooke and his wife, Amanda, and their daughter, Ambria, of Clyde. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times, at the home of her mother, 35 Bryson Heights Road, Waynesville.
