Christopher Buchanan

Cary, NC-Christopher Chadwick "Chad" Buchanan, age 43, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at his residence in Cary. Chad was born in Buncombe County. He resided in Haywood County for 20 years and the past 23 years in Raleigh. He is the son of Doug and Patty Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, H.B. (Buck) Buchanan. Chad was a 1988 graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton, NC and a 1992 graduate of NC State University in Raleigh, NC. He worked 22 years in Technical Sales for various companies located in Research Triangle Park. Chad was an avid photographer, great cook, starving artist, diehard NC State fan and supported his nephews' youth baseball. He attended Spring Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Brian Buchanan and wife Angie; grandparents, Christine Buchanan, Ray and Edith Cook; his uncles and aunts, Bill Buchanan and Paulette, Cathy and David Boone and Rhonda Earley; nephews, Parker and Peyton Buchanan and cousins, Amanda and Aaron Earley. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff King and Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the Buchanan residence, 411 Toronto Trail, Clyde, NC 28721.
