Clyde - Charles Jess "C.J." Reynolds, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his residence. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Jess James and Ellamae Lucille Summey Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Reynolds, who died on September 4, 2013. C.J. was a US Army veteran. C.J. was special and dear to all who knew him. He held himself and his family to high standards and will be remembered for being honest and caring. C.J. was the oldest of four children and was always protecting, teaching, and caring for his siblings and had a special way of developing life-long friendships with many. He also enjoyed teaching new things to his children and friends. C.J. loved spending time outdoors in the mountains which he called home, bird hunting, and growing fruit trees. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Farley and her husband, Keith, of Clyde; a son, Charles Michael Reynolds of Candler; a sister, Janice Hawkins and her husband, Harry, of Clyde; two brothers, Pastor Ted Reynolds and his wife, Ann, and Jack Reynolds and his wife, Shelby Jene, both of Canton; two grandchildren, Charissa Ponder and Danielle Reyes and her husband, Lucas; three great-grandchildren, Malyk Gibbs, Kendrick Gibbs, and Ginny Ann Reyes; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Dr. Terrence Threadwell and Pastor Ted Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
