Claire Chambers

Claire Crawford Chambers, 77, of Mills River, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Florine Crawford. She had been an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Horse Shoe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Howell Chambers and brother, Howard Crawford.
Claire is survived by her sons, Steve, and wife, Sharon Chambers and Don, and wife, Kathy, Chambers; grandsons, Jason and David Galloway and special caregivers, Chris and Jennie, for whom the family is especially thankful.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Faith, Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn with Rev. Harold Sitton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 112 Rays Place Lane, Horse Shoe, NC 28742.
