Clara Lovingood

Clara Gosnell Lovingood, 90, of Candler passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Clara was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah Thomas Gosnell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Lovingood and by their daughter, Letha Kay Lovingood .

Mrs. Lovingood retired from American Enka. She loved crocheting, gardening, camping and traveling with James which included visiting all of the light houses on the east coast.

Clara was the oldest of 6 children and was preceded in death by her brother Jack Gosnell (Dorothy) and sister Faye McDaniels (Gurney) and is survived by her sisters, Deane Valentine (Jim),  Joyce Stepp (Jim) and Peggy Radford (Mark); nieces and nephews, Darla Latham (Gary), Linda Rice (Alan), Debbie Tucker (Tim), Schell Rice (Denny), Paige Wright, Rene Radford, Karen Babb (Raymond), Jack Lovingood, David Lovingood, Eddie Stepp and Lee Stepp (Paula).

A graveside service will be held for the family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans Restoration Quarters 1329 Tunnel Road Asheville, NC 28805.

The care of Mrs. Livingood has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
