Clara Worley

Clara Inez Clontz Worley, 103 - went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2012. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Plato and Jessie Smathers Clontz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Worley, who died in 1962. Clara lived in Haywood County most of her life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Canton. She lived a long life filled with love for the Lord, her family and close friends. Clara enjoyed her hobbies of quilting and gardening. She also loved flowers and watching the hummingbirds. She is survived by her three children; Betty (Marvin) Mann of Pikeville, TN, Jack (Alice) Worley of Crossville, TN and Sue Hazelwood of Lexington, NC; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Clay Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
