Clarence Kirkpatrick

October 4, 1934 — December 13, 2012

Waynesville, Clarence Lee Kirkpatrick, age 78, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home & Rehabilitation. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Robert and Estie Haynes Kirkpatrick. He retired from Champion International with 35 years' service and was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Clarence enjoyed bait fishing and camping at Little Creek in Madison County. He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Taylor and her husband, Ray; a son, Michael Kirkpatrick all of Clyde; two sisters, Peggy Hunter and her husband, Phil, of White Oak and Willa Mae Teague of Fines Creek; two brothers, Wayne Kirkpatrick and his wife, Dorothy and Bruce Kirkpatrick all of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Ashley Kirkpatrick, Jonathan and Autumn Taylor; one great-grandchild, Parker Trantham; several nieces and nephews; and two special little girls, Summer and Hannah. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
