Clarence Lowe

November 14, 1929 — January 11, 2013

Waynesville, Clarence Kenneth "Bud" Lowe, age 83, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at MedWest Haywood Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Jesse G. and Elizabeth Arrington Lowe. Bud was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Beasley and Mildred Toy and two brothers, Billy Joe and Jack Lowe. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Bud was employed by Dayco Corporation where he retired with 30 years of service. Bud loved to watch sports and enjoyed telling stories. He enjoyed trading many items throughout his life; especially cars. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merry Jo Harrison Lowe; one daughter, Patra Ann Lowe and her husband Bruce Kemp-Claytor of Canton; three brothers, Robert Lowe, Frank Lowe and Earl Lowe, all of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Heather Constante and her husband Mark Grasty, Kenny Bob Constante and his wife Stephanie and Ty Constante and his wife Laura Wilmes; three great-grandchildren, Louis Constante, Patra Grasty and Tate Constante and a special niece Sandra Horton. A celebration of Bud's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Military services will be conducted. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5140 Panther Creek Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
