Clifford Kuykendall

"Loving Father & Grandfather" Canton – Clifford Eugene Kuykendall, age 85, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late George and Hazel Thompson Kuykendall. Clifford was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Having served 22 years, Clifford was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force and worked for 14 years in the United States Postal service. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Square Dancing, Golfing, and the Boy Scouts. He is survived by a daughter, Dianna Kuykendall Griffin of Chesnee, South Carolina; a son, G. David Kuykendall of Canton; three sisters, Judith Ann Thomason of Clarksville, Tennessee, Wanda Rose Gorman of Leicester, and Naomi Christine Stuart of Canton; nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jack Holland and Reverend James Burress officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
