Clinton Jones

October 18, 1939 — December 27, 2016

Clinton Cedric Jones, Jr., 77, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born in Savannah, GA to the late Clinton and Ruth Stewart Jones of Pooler, Ga. He was a member of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from Steel Case in Fletcher. He enjoyed fishing but woodworking was his passion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce F. Jones and siblings, Harrel and Carol Jones.
He is survived by his sister, Glenda Thompson of Franklin, TN; sons, Clinton Jones III of Stilson, Ga, Robert (Teri) Jones of Rincon, GA and Kevin (Erin) Jones of Ahoskie, NC; sister-in-law, Alda Jones of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Sebastionelli of Alexandria, VA, Tiffany and Travis Jones of Savannah and Timmy and Chris (Haley) Sherrod of Savannah; great grandchildren, Kennedy Sebastionelli of Alexandria, VA and Kiley Sherrod of Savannah and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2 from 6-8PM at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 12:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church, Sylva, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Savannah, 1352 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
