Clyde Roach

Canton, Clyde "Buddy" Roach, age 67, of Deer Run Road, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Miami, FL but had lived in Haywood County since 1999. He was the son of Ella Anna Savage Roach and the late Raymond Roach who died in 1998. Buddy retired as a supervisor with Bell South in 1991 and was a volunteer fire fighter, first responder and maintenance officer with Lake Logan Fire Department. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in Korea. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, David Roach and his wife Irina of Coral Springs, FL; a daughter, Lisa Pinkney of Havre De Grace, MD; three sisters, Harriet Paulding of Hollywood, FL, Marie Carlson and her husband Dennis of Canton and Irene Cappa and her husband Bruce of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren Zachrie and Britney Pinkney. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating.
