Cody Arron Bartee

Cody Arron Bartee, 28, passed away on August 27, 2024. He was born on May 28, 1996, in Buncombe, North Carolina, to Gary Lee King and Cynthia (Bartee) Kelly.

Cody dedicated himself to his career as an Equipment Operator in the construction industry. A true adventurer at heart, Cody thrived on experiences that brought him closer to nature and the great outdoors. He found joy in fishing, rock crawling, and riding dirt bikes, activities that allowed him to explore and embrace the beauty of the world around him. Additionally, he enjoyed target practice with his guns. He cherished the moments spent with loved ones, his outgoing personality ensured that he would light up any room, bringing laughter and joy to those fortunate enough to know him.

Cody survived by his father, Gary (Marcia) King; mother Cynthia (Russell) Kelly; sister, Crystal Bartee; brother’s, Joey Bartee, Chris King and Steven King; his girlfriend, Destony Ingle; nephew Tyler; nieces, Nikki and Marcia; great-nephew Axel; and many cousins. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the Wells Chapel of Faith in Candler with Pastor Sam King officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. The burial will follow the service Saturday, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
