Colleen Sprouse

Asheville, Colleen K. Sprouse, age 76, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Memorial Campus. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Burgin King and Velma Pressley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James David Sprouse, who died in 1993; a daughter, Betty Logan; one sister; and six brothers. Colleen was very devoted to her family. She was a good and faithful Servant to her Lord, and all those who needed her. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Sprouse(Christy) and Gerald Sprouse(Christy);three daughters, Sally Bryant(Howard)Geri Dotson and Lisa Hensley(John);one sister, Joyce Duckett; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan, Crystal, Misty, Kyle, Cody, Kelsey, Kayleen, Nathan, Cora and Hali; and six great grandchildren, Ciara, Savannah, Destinee, Zander, Damien and Hope. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Fletcher First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
