Connie Price

Waynesville, Connie Mae Price, 87, of Crabtree Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center. Connie was born in Haywood County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Price, who died in 1972; her mother, Pearl Caldwell; a sister, Lillie Mae Carroll; and two brothers, Jack and Wiley Caldwell. Connie loved the art of quilting as well as other crafts and enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel music. Connie is survived by her nieces, Emily Davis of Waynesville, Mary Jane Ricker (James), Judy Patton (Charles), Patsy Worley (Keith) and Shirley Willis, all of Hickory; and a nephew, Leon Caldwell (Jenny) of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Patton officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
