Cora Hale

Cora Lee Haynes Hale, age 92, formerly of Hale Road in Clyde, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Kyrie HealthCare in Statesville. She was the daughter of the late Garrett and Epsie Messer Caldwell and later adopted by Vinson and Mollie Rogers Haynes. She was the wife of the late Robert Lowery Hale who died in 1987 and was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Lloyd Hale and one great-granddaughter, Tara Stamey. Cora was employed by Winners Department Store in Asheville as a bridal associated for over 25 years. She is survived by one son, Robert Noel Hale and his wife Rebecca of Hendersonville; a daughter-in-law Choicette Hale and three grandchildren; Cynthia Edens and her husband, T. K of Wilmington, N.C., Marianne Stamey and her husband Lee of Statesville, N. C. and Heidi Hale of New Bern, N. C., eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Haynes Family Cemetery with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Memorials may be made to Eliada Home for Children, P.O.
