Waynesville-Cora Bell Grasty Haney died Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a native of Macon County and was a resident of Buncombe and Haywood County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Taylor and Dora Hopkins Grasty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Haney, who died in 1966 and a son, Stephen Edward Haney. Mrs. Haney was a former employee of Dayco Corporation and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, in particular her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn H. Davis, and her husband, Steve, of Waynesville, one sister, Joyce G. Banks, of Etowah; two grandchildren, Raife Davis, and his wife, Melinda, of Clyde and Nikol Shuler and her husband, Heath of Waynesville; five great-grandchildren, Lidia, Macey, and Locke Davis and Navy and Island Shuler. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend William McNeil officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
