Cora Moody

Waynesville, Cora Lee Caldwell Williamson Moody, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Ella Jane Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by husbands, John George Williamson, Wallace Tate and Jack Moody; a grandson, Marc Williamson; seven brothers and three sisters. She was employed by Dayco Corporation. Cora was an original native of Cataloochee Valley and was proud of her heritage. Cora is survived by two sons, Tommy Williamson, and his wife, Katie and Charles Williamson, and his wife, Joyce; one step-son, Joe Tate; three sisters, Annie Caldwell, of Waynesville, Sarah Sutton, of Maggie Valley and Ruby Bradley, and her husband, Bob, of Waynesville; a sister-in-law, Hazel Caldwell, of Waynesville; one brother, Thurman Caldwell; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Reeves, Reverend Larry Reeves and Reverend Tim Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff of Silver Bluff Nursing Home for the loving care of Cora.
