Corbette Connor

Canton- Corbette Dewayne "Bo" Connor- age 54 died Tuesday, August 08, 2006 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Oakley and Dorothy Nelson Connor. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Oakley Worth Connor, Jr. Mr. Connor was employed by Haywood Tractor as a salesman for the past 12 years. He was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church, and a member of Gideon's International. "Bo" enjoyed farming and had a green thumb for growing things. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Suzanne Leatherwood Connor; one daughter, Melissa Connor of Canton; three sons, Timothy, Michael, and Matthew Connor all of Canton; four sisters, Pat Jenkins and her husband Davis, of Waynesville, Pricilla Wilson and her husband, Wayne of Canton, Terry Burnette and her husband Ricky of Canton, and Sissy Messer and her husband, David of Waynesville; two brothers, Danny Connor and his wife Debbie of Canton and Kenneth Connor of Canton and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 at Victory Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Brandon Mendez and Reverend Michael Chastain officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to a trust fund for Melissa and Matthew Connor , C/o Suzanne Connor, PO Box 477, Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.
