Cordie Mae Caldwell Lovelace, age 85, of 160 Shelton Road, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. She was born in Cocke County, TN and had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Reuben Allison and Sarah Sutton Caldwell and was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Patton Lovelace, Jr., who died in 1980; four brothers, Thurmond, Doice, Bob and Ned Caldwell, and a sister, Marie Taylor. She was a former ICU nurse at Haywood Regional Medical Center, retiring with 32 years of service, and a member of Woodland Baptist Church. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life. She is survived by two daughters, Penni Rogers and her husband, Fred, of Greensboro and Brenda Lovelace of Lake Logan; two sons, Wallace Patton Lovelace and his wife, Linda, of Clyde and Bruce Douglas Lovelace and his wife, Kathy, of Waynesville; a sister, Mamie C. Brown of Canton; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to John F.
