"1928 – 2015" Canton – Curlee M. McCall, age 87, passed away Friday, December 04, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Macon County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Roxie Ann Wood McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley McCall, who died in 1970; two sons, Charles Timothy and John William McCall; and two daughters, Betty Ann Fuller and Martha Lou Mullins. Curlee was a member of Tilley Creek Baptist Church in Jackson County. Her special interests were crafts, completing puzzle books, crocheting, yard sales and flea markets but above all she was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lee Morgan of Morrow, Georgia; five sons, R.J. McCall (Doris), of Shelby, Jimmy Carroll McCall (Etta Bea), of Webster, Larry Vernon "Bill" McCall of Calhoun, Georgia, Ronald Leo McCall (Trish), of Canton, and Ray Willis McCall (Glenda) of Mills River; three sisters, Wilcie Leonhardt of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lila Coggins of Sylva, and Rachel Levens of Mcleansville; one brother, Algie McCall (Betty), of Franklin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James Franklin Wyatt and Reverend Lanny Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Center Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
