Curt Knight

Waynesville-Curtis L. ''Curt'' Knight, age 75, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Macon, Georgia and had lived in Haywood County since 1993. He was the son of the late Ponce de Leon and Mary Frances Kendrick Knight. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Williams.

He retired from Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, Florida. He was a pilot, was of the Baptist faith, and loved playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Lewis Knight; two daughters, Lynn Beasley and her husband, Alex of Brevard, and April Boyd and her husband, Chris of Beaufort, South Carolina; one son, Jeff Knight and his wife, Laurie of Huntersville, NC; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Reverend Carl Bishop will officiate.

Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
