CV Rhodarmer, a beloved individual who touched the lives of many, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was born December 9, 1933 in Haywood County, North Carolina.
CV led a fulfilling life defined by dedicated service to both his country and his community. He proudly served in the United States Army as part of the 11th Airborne and the renowned 82nd Airborne Division. His commitment to duty and honor during his military service set the foundation for a lifetime of integrity and hard work. Following his commitment to the United States Army, CV graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University.
In his professional career, CV excelled as a personnel manager at Steelcase until his retirement in 1993. Prior to that, he also made significant contributions during his tenure at Dayco Southern and Drexel Furniture. His work ethic and leadership were highly respected by colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, CV was known for his warm heart and compassionate nature. He cherished spending time with loved ones and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
CV was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Baxter and Inez Phillips Rhodarmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Cathey Rhodarmer, who passed away in December 2023; and sisters, Edna Boyles and Artie Smathers.
He is survived by his son, Charles Vaughn Rhodarmer of Vonore, Tennessee; a brother, William Joseph Rhodarmer of Columbia, SC; and several nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Morning Star Cemetery with Reverend Peter Constantian officiating. The 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army will present full military honors. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.

CV Rhodarmer leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication that will be remembered for years to come. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
