D. Illingworth

Lake Junaluska, David Marr Illingworth, age 89, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at The Homestead. A native of Grantown-on-Spey, Scotland, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Illingworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawson, George and Edward Illingworth. He served in the Royal Air Force in Scotland. Marr retired after 30 years of service from General Electric Corporation as a Sales Representative. Marr was the most reserved, friendly and giving Scotsman you would ever meet. Marr is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Ensley Illingworth; a daughter, Mary Jesse and her husband, Dann, of Clyde; a son, John Lawson Illingworth of Lake Junaluska; and one granddaughter, Heather Michelle Jesse, who is attending NC State University. Private family services will be held at a later date.
