Danny Rhodes

Waynesville-James Danny Rhodes, age 53, of 98 Norman Street, Waynesville, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at the VA Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a native of Lakeland, Florida and had resided in Haywood County for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph W. Rhodes. He was an Army veteran serving three tours in Vietnam and received two purple hearts. He was employed by Badcock Home Furnishings in Waynesville.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Harry L. Booker, of Waynesville; his wife, Deborah Ann Rhodes; a daughter, Patti Troutman, of Avondale, PA; a sister, Amy Roberts and a brother, David Randolph Rhodes, both of Waynesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The Reverend Steve Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 42 Keller Street, Waynesville.
