Waynesville, Mrs. Dare Burris Rogers, 88, of 1429 Allens Creek Road, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Dare was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
A native of Graham County, Dare was the daughter of the late George Washington Burris and Myrtle Crisp Burris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Loye Kennedy, Ina Sawyer and Ella Mashburn; seven brothers, Ferrell, Floyd, Ray, Harley, Willie, McKinley and Landon. Dare was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was a godly woman who loved spending time with her family.
Dare is survived by her husband, of 68 years, Doyce James Rogers; daughter Dona Potts, and her husband, Eddie, of Sylva; son, Doug Rogers, and his wife, Terri, of Canton; and a grandson, Noah Rogers, and his wife, Hanna, of Canton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Terry Rowland officiating. Friends may stop by and sign the register Thursday afternoon.

The care of Mrs. Rogers has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
